Poetry Reading at Neighbourhood Bookstore

Print Email

The Tree Reading Series, a long-established part of Ottawa's literary scene, now takes place at Black Squirrel Books, 1073 Bank Street in Old Ottawa South.

On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, devotees meet to enjoy a reading of poetry (and sometimes prose) from one or more of Canada’s many talented writers. Each Tree evening also includes an open-mic segment where local writers read their own work. A one-hour poetry workshop, open to everyone, starts every Tree evening.

The event is free of charge; a hat is passed for donations. For more information and the upcoming schedule, see www.treereadingseries.ca.
