Join Capital Vélo Fest on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in a public bike rally starting & ending at the Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club. It is a fundraiser for the Canada Africa Partnership Network to raise funds to provide homeless teenage women in Uganda with safe shelter, education, and job skills. The rally guides participants on a bike ride along lesser known cycling trails and routes in the region in search of answers to quirky questions and identifying local artifacts of interest. It is a fun and healthy way to spend a few hours on your bike with family, friends, and colleagues in a unique adventure in the Capital!
The event includes the bike rally, a yummy African-themed banquet, and prizes for rally participants. You can register individually or as a team, and if you have friends who would prefer not to ride, they can register for just the banquet. It starts at 11:00am from the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club at 176 Cameron Ave. For more information, and to register online, visit the Brighter Futures Bike Rally website.
Registration deadline is 4pm, Friday, September 15, 2017.
