On Sunday, October 14th OSCA held our annual Fall Fest at Windsor Park. We had a blast celebrating our favourite season with the community.
Thank you to all our donors and sponsors for making this year’s event a success! We had BBQ food provided by McKeen Metro and prizes donated from The Barley Mow, Bridgehead, The Clothes Secret, Oat Couture, Hillary’s Cleaners, House of Targ, and The Rowan. The event would not have been the success it was without the generosity of the local businesses here in Old Ottawa South, and of course, the wonderful community members who came out to celebrate at this year’s event. A big thank you also goes out to all our volunteers from Algonquin College for helping to make our event special this year. Special thanks to our goat, Blanche, for her exceptional Goat Bingo performance and congratulations to the winner of our goat bingo prize! We also had a great performance from Gentlemen of the Woods, and of course, everyone’s favourite inflatable slide donated by Tracy Arnett!
Our Food Contest was a tasty competition of homemade goods from the community, and the 70’s jellied category was interesting, to say the least! We look forward to these local recipes each year and it gives us a glimpse into the wonderful talent here in the community. It’s never easy to choose a winner but a big congratulations to those who took home the prize in their category!
Food Contest Winners:
- Jam/Preserves: Daniel Labonte with Crab Apple and Lavender jelly
- Soup: Simon Rechico Moisan with chicken orzo soup

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event and we hope to see you at our next event our annual Christmas Craft Show on Sunday, November 25!
