Old Ottawa South 2016 Vision Survey

The Old Ottawa South Vision Survey was written by the Old Ottawa South Community Association's Board and Committee Members to help determine our objectives and priorities. The survey touches on topics in special events, recreational programming, traffic & safety, and community planning, and will be open for responses from February 1st to February 29th.

New Finance Committee

OSCA Needs You!  

Since completion of the Firehall Renovation in 2011, OSCA has been going through much growth and change. The current financial status of OSCA requires regular evaluation and follow up.  As a result, the OSCA Board has approved the formation of a strong Finance Committee of at least 5 members. While it will be required that the Chair and one other member of the Committee also be on the OSCA Board, we are turning to our community and asking for you to join us in this exciting time.

The OSCA Facebook page is filled with details of our upcoming events, ways to volunteer, photos, and much, much more. It’s a great way to stay informed and for OSCA to get the word out quickly about exciting new programs and events. So “Like” us on Facebook and “share” us with your friends and family!

Learn About City of Ottawa Planning Processes

The City of Ottawa offers a series of free courses designed to help citizens become familiar with issues related to urban planning. The information from two courses—Planning Primer I & Planning Primer II—is available via the City of Ottawa website.

Also available online is material from the elective courses on Residential Infill and Intensification, Development Charges, Park Planning, Heritage Planning, and Secondary Planning Processes.

OSCA Firehall Staff at Lansdowne

firehall-staff-at-lpOSCA staff were out promoting our new fall program guide at the Lansdowne opening on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Lots of people came out for the event, despite the rainy weather, to enjoy live music, games, give-aways, and much more!

OSCA Environmental Committee of Old Ottawa South (ECOS)

Rather than continue with the Environmental Committee of Old Ottawa South (ECOS), which focused on environmental issues of various kinds in our community, the OSCA Board has decided to incorporate environment and sustainability considerations into its general operating principles, activities, events and programs.
