Are you interested in how OSCA manages our after school programs, summer camps, pre-school, children and adult fitness, as well as adult general interest programs? Do you have experience in writing, marketing, or web design, and would like to improve OSCA’s communications? OSCA is currently seeking volunteers to join our Communications Committee and Program Committee.
The Communications Committee advises the Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) on issues related to communications, including the structures, budget, processes and tools used by OSCA staff and volunteers to implement an effective communications strategy. On issues related to the information OSCA provides to the community, the Communications Committee is the Board’s primary liaison with residents, the City, and other organizations.
The Program Committee oversees the operations of recreational programming at The Firehall. OSCA runs a children's after school program, summer camps, pre-school, children and adult fitness, and adult general interest programs. The committee is also responsible for the Fitness Centre located in the building. Some of the issues the committee considers are the development of new programs, investment in new equipment, and the creation of new policies and procedures.
A variety of committees made up of interested OOS residents and Board members help run OSCA’s activities. You may click here to see a complete directory of OSCA's committees. You do not need to be a Board member to sit on a committee. All are welcome.
