Before and After School Care

About After 4

after 4 kids

OSCA’s After 4 Program has a great history of providing a safe environment and fun-filled activities for its participants. After 4 has expanded to three different programs to meet the growing needs of the community and to help provide age-specific programming. After 4’s amazing special events such as Firehall’s Got Talent, Halloween and Christmas Parties, Pink Shirt Anti-Bullying Day, Park Clean-up Days, and Fundraiser Craft & Bake Sales, help our children develop a strong sense of community and cooperation.

After 4 Staff

OSCA’s After 4 coordinators, counselors and junior counselors are dedicated to providing a fun and safe after school environment for every child. Many of our staff have participated in the After 4 program as children, volunteered in the program and are now passionate about their opportunity to give back. Each staff member has valid standard level first aid certificate and Level C CPR and AED certification, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation training, Worker Health and Safety Training, and a vulnerable sector police records check. OSCA After 4 staff receive thorough training on a monthly basis in many areas such as dynamic and age specific programming, health and safety policies, special needs, behaviour management and much more!

Each location offers a walk-over service from Hopewell school. Parents with children attending other schools may organize bus drop-offs at any of our locations. Children who are responsible enough to walk-over on their own may do so with parental consent. After 4 also provides a healthy snack every day at each location.

Parents may pick up and sign out their child at any time during the program. Children in the grades 4-6 program may walk home alone with parental approval. All children must be picked up by 6:00 pm. If someone other than parents are going to pick up a child, we need to have that person on the authorized pick-up list, or have verbal confirmation from a parent.

After-Four and Breakfast Club Payment Policy

Upon registration OSCA requires two months payment. Half of the payment will be applied to the first month of attendance in the program registered for (After 4 or Breakfast Club) and the other half is a non-refundable deposit. Once programs have started, payments must be made monthly by cash, cheque, credit card, or debit card. We do not hold credit card information and are currently unable to do recurring payments.
