Annual General Meetings
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 AGM cannot follow the below outline for a typical OSCA AGM. Instead, the AGM has been deferred from May until the third Tuesday in October, and will be held virtually. Refer to the 2020 AGM Information Notice for details.
The Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Ottawa South Community Centre, a.k.a the 'Old Firehall' at 260 Sunnyside Avenue, on the first Tuesday in May of each year.
At every AGM, the President, Executive, and Committee Chairs present their annual reports, including the annual financial report. Other current business that members raise may be discussed, including any proposed changes to Association policies or bylaws. Then the nominations for the next year's Board are presented and voted on by all "members in good standing", who are any OOS residents who have been registered OSCA members.
Every year's AGM is different depending on the issues of the day, but it is always interesting, and concludes with a delicious wine and cheese.
So keep an eye out for the April OSCAR or visit this website for the year's AGM announcement, and mark your calendars for the first Tuesday in May!
