As the Coronavirus outbreak evolves in Ottawa, we at OSCA are closely monitoring the situation with Ottawa Public Health and our partner the City of Ottawa. We take the safety, health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and volunteers, very seriously and we are doing our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community and City.
As promised in late August, OSCA has been hard at work developing the details of our vaccination policy. We remain committed to doing everything possible to provide a safe environment for you and your family. Please take the time to read the following text, outlining OSCA’s evolving vaccination policy.Tuesday, 07 September 2021 19:38
The 2020 OSCA AGM was held on October 20, 2020—but this year it was an AGM with a difference! Because of the restrictions encountered by COVID-19, an in-person AGM was impossible. The AGM is usually held in May but it was postponed this year in the hopes that the restrictions would be lifted and an in-person meeting would be possible. Finally, OSCA gave in and held the meeting in October.Friday, 23 October 2020 19:07

The closure of the Firehall has had a huge impact on all of us and like many, we are all missing the connections that our community space provides. As you have probably seen in the news, the City of Ottawa has announced that all recreation facilities will be closed until at least June 30th, 2020, and this includes the Firehall. One of the consequences of the closure is that we also do not have access to our phone line to answer questions and provide assistance.Wednesday, 22 April 2020 20:21
As a result of the announcement that City facilities will be closed and following the recommendations made by the City of Ottawa, Ottawa Public Health, and Federal government agencies, we have made the difficult choice to cancel all OSCA programming; this includes the Firehall Fitness Centre, the Pottery Studio, Board and Committee public meetings.Friday, 13 March 2020 15:43
We’re asking the public to assist us in reducing the spread of COVID-19 by doing the following:Friday, 13 March 2020 12:01
The safety, health, and well-being of our clients and staff is a top priority at OSCA. Clients with a sinus infection, cough, and/or fever are asked to refrain from attending programs in order to prevent the spread of colds and flu to others. We ask clients to be diligent in following Ottawa Public Health’s “Guidelines for School and Child Care Facilities on Communicable Diseases and Other Childhood Health Issues” document, which provides recommendations for exclusion due to health issues.Thursday, 05 March 2020 07:59
