The challenge of identifying this (Old) Ottawa South house looks to be solved. Bob Simpson had found this real-estate ad in The Ottawa Citizen Saturday February 7, 1925.
An astute reader who lives on Grove Avenue recognized a neighbour’s place, at least what it looked like prior to recent renovations.
Here’s a snapshot of #72 as captured by Google streetview in 2019.
The current day version looks a bit different, with an extra floor added and a renovated front porch, but the house is still standing. And it must be seen to be appreciated.
