Carleton University Annual Butterfly Show 2019

The Butterfly Show is an annual event that runs daily from Saturday, October 5, 2019, to Sunday, October 13, 2019, in the greenhouses of Carleton University’s biology department. The show features 1300 butterflies released into the Nesbitt Biology Building greenhouses where the public is invited to come visit these beautiful creatures and learn more about them.

Registering and Voting in a Federal Election

Elections Canada staff will share useful resources and tools related to civic participation; explain the connection between registering and voting in an election as a fundamental way of entering into and participating in the electoral process; talk about key messages for the federal election; introduce new voter information campaign products. Part of the Ottawa Public Library's Civic Engagement series.

EBA Annual Open Studio: Vernissage

Trinity 140th Anniversary

A special celebration to mark 140 years in the community: an enjoyable afternoon of story-telling and music performed by Trinity's renowned organist and choir. A light reception will follow. Everyone invited. And, should you feel like dressing up with a tie, or donning a hat and gloves, as in the olden days, please do so!

Community Meeting re 26 Aylmer

The owner of 26 Aylmer Avenue has requested a meeting to discuss plans to convert the existing structure to a (3) multi-unit dwelling. The community will be able to review and discuss site plans, floor plans, amenity space provisions, as well as landscaping and parking for this new proposal.

Benny Beattie is a retired history teacher and author.  He has travelled extensively and has written several books.  He will be presenting trivia and quizzes from his book: Questions, Quizzes, and Quotations: A Brain Challenging Book of Trivia and General Knowledge. What are the four environmental R’s?  What is the difference between a violin and a fiddle?  Let’s have some fun!

OSCA's Terrifying Trivia Night
