The Sunnyside Library has chosen a few literary selections to get you in the cycling spirit and highlight the Capital Spokes Bike Rally & Rodeo.
The Sunnyside branch of the Ottawa Public Library is one of the gems of our Old Ottawa South neighbourhood. Much loved and very well used by young and old, it has been in existence almost as long as the entire Ottawa library system itself, but of course it looked very different in the beginning.
Here are some pictures from Friday morning's (July 21st) Green Dreamer gathering at the Library. Christine & Mike secured a lovely selection of plants from Krysia's garden on Riverdale earlier in the week and with the help of fellow Green Dreamers transplanted mature succulents, lavender, and generous clumps of sedum in the once empty Bank Street planter. Needless to say, more mulch was added!
Come join us for a Celebration of Life commemorating our Sunnyside branch’s Children’s Librarian, Hélène Merritt on Friday, January 10, 2014, hosted by the Southminster United Church, in their hall, at 15 Aylmer Avenue. Everyone is welcome, bring the whole family. There will be stories, music and laughter.
