OSCA is holding a public meeting in Michael Jenkin Hall at the Firehall (260 Sunnyside Avenue) on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. to get your views and ideas on the future of the Fieldhouse at Windsor Park. We are also running an online survey.
From November 13th - November 20th, OSCA will be taking submissions for the Winter Art Show & Sale at the Firehall. Artists working in any medium may submit one winter-themed piece along with a completed submission form. Pieces will be displayed in the Firehall lobby from November 24, 2019 - February 29, 2020 and 100% of the selling price goes to the artist.
We’re gearing up to participate in Giving Tuesday 2019 and we’re beside ourselves with excitement. Why? Because #GivingTuesdayCA is all about giving back and finding ways to do so even finding a cause close to our own hearts.
About two years ago I arrived at Hopewell School on a Monday night to play volleyball for the first time in 19 years. I was unsure if I could still serve the ball in a straight line, or be able to walk the next day after muscle soreness set in. I was immediately greeted by Bob Adamyk who, for the last thirty years, has coordinated recreational sports at Hopewell School for community members interested in playing volleyball, basketball and badminton.
The second Capital Spokes Bike Rally & Rodeo was held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 in Windsor Park. This year the Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) and the Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club (OTLBC) collaborated to stretch Capital Spokes into a weekend event.
Local artists, working in any medium, may submit one piece of fall-related artwork for exhibition and sale at the Firehall; 100% of sale goes to the artist. The theme: fall foliage, autumn leaves, hayrides, harvest celebrations, pumpkins...

The OOS family-friendly group meets at Brewer Park at 9:15 – 9:30 a.m. near Seneca & Cameron (close to the Tennis Club). Look for cyclists at the basketball court!

On Friday, May 31st, OSCA & OTLBC will kick-off the Capital Spokes Bike Rally & Rodeo with a family dinner at the Tennis Club and a weekend of Firehall bike training, tune-ups, and a rodeo at Windsor Park.

The Capital Spokes Bike Rally & Rodeo has a little bit of something for everyone!
On the first weekend in June, beginning Friday, May 31st, the Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) in partnership with the Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club (OTLBC) will host the second Capital Spokes Bike Rally & Rodeo.
