We believe that offering community programming is essential now more than ever. So do our instructors who overwhelmingly responded to our call to offer programming on a “pay what you can” basis. As such, 70% of fees received will go to instructors and the remaining fees will go to supporting OSCA programs and initiatives in the future. OSCA Summer Camps 2020

We've put together a bunch of fun, themed activities for children each week. We're calling them our virtual camps! Virtual camp weeks will consist of a special themed activity each day of the week. You can sign-up individually for whichever you'd like! They are coordinated by Darcy Middaugh & Katherine Boisvert.

GivingTuesday: OSCA is Raising $2,000 for a New Kitchen Stove & for the Annual After-Four Turkey Dinner

GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The “opening day of the giving season,” is a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.

Kids learning to bake as part of OSCA's After-Four Program

After-Four and Breakfast Club

Our current After-Four and Breakfast Club programs are currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we are currently accepting registrations for the 2020-2021 school year.

We are currently experiencing difficulties with our online registration platform. The form (link below) is meant to temporarily replace registrations for After-Four and Breakfast Club until the situation is remedied. Please note that if you fill out this form, you will be recorded as "pending" until we are able to properly register you for the program with payment of administrative fees. This form does not guarantee you a space in the program but does let us know your intention to register. As a result, you will be given priority once we are able to launch proper registrations as long as we have space in the program you've requested. Furthermore, if we receive more requests than we can accomodate, people who requested first will be given priority.

This form MUST be filled out for each child you are registering. Also note that the JK-SK After-Four program is filled for 2020-2021 at this time so you will be put on a waitlist for that program.

OSCA's After Four Program

OSCA’s After-Four Program includes supervised walkover from Hopewell Public School, a healthy snack, games, crafts, trips to the park, and special workshops. Coordinators and staff have been working with our After-Four Committee to meet the growing needs of the community and help provide age-appropriate programming. Our dedicated staff are committed to building a positive rapport with every child. For more details about how we run our program, please download our 2019-2020 After-Four Parent Reference Booklet.

The program offers all the classic After-Four activities and affords children the opportunity to find an activity that suits their interests. Every day, the children will have the opportunity to choose between a variety of activities that may include active games and sports, crafts, cooking, science experiments, reading, and more! Our dynamic staff will make sure that your child has a great experience.

After-Four Staff

OSCA’s After-Four coordinators and counsellors are dedicated to providing a fun and safe after-school environment for every child. Many of our staff have participated in the After-Four program as children, volunteered in the program and are now passionate about their opportunity to give back to the Firehall.

Each staff member is required to obtain the following qualifications: valid Standard Level First Aid, Level C CPR, and AED certification; Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation training; Worker Health and Safety Training; and a vulnerable sector police records check.
