OSCA needs your help!
For some time now, OSCA has been calling out for someone in the community with some financial expertise to step up and volunteer to serve a term as the OSCA Treasurer. To date, we have not had one single indication of interest!
It is hard for us to believe that there is no one out there in Old Ottawa South who may be able to help – we just haven’t been able to reach them! So we need your help by speaking with neighbours, providing us with suggestions, even volunteering yourself, so this important position can be filled.
The volunteer Treasurer is part of a financial team which also includes OSCA’s Managing Director and its bookkeeper. The day-to-day work is done by the bookkeeper and the Managing Director. The Treasurer serves as a member of the OSCA Board and the Executive Committee, responsible for keeping those bodies informed concerning OSCA’s financial matters, as well as assisting OSCA’s auditor with the annual financial report. The Treasurer also chairs the Finance Committee, which is available to provide additional expertise and support as needed.
If finances are your thing, please help OSCA. You will be playing an important role in your community and, at the same time, working with community advocates to make Old Ottawa South an even better place to live!
