Good news if you missed our production of Hamlet this summer due to the heavy rains! The Company of Adventurers is thrilled to be taking part in the Eastern Ontario Drama League Festival with our production of Hamlet. We are so excited! The festival is a competition among community theatre groups throughout eastern Ontario. The adjudicator is Rod Carley, an award-winning playwright, director, and actor, and founding artistic director of the Nipissing Stage Company in North Bay.
We are doing three performances at The Gladstone Theatre (910 Gladstone Avenue). Entrance is free; shows are being presented as a fundraiser for The Gladstone (actors pass hats for contributions to our fundraiser). Show dates are:
- Friday, January 17 at 7:00 pm
- Saturday, January 18 at 1:00 pm – adjudicated performance
- Saturday, January 18 at 7:00 pm
Come out see us! All are welcome! This play has something for everyone: music, a spooky play-within-a-play, two silly popcorn-eating badminton players, a girl gone mad, a fencing match, a graveyard, and a GHOST! And there are so many traps, so many false turns, so much deception! Who is acting? Who isn’t?
Reserve no-cost tickets at Hamlet2025.eventbrite.ca or at the door. If you want to hear the adjudicator’s comments, come to the Saturday afternoon performance. The adjudication is public!
