In case you missed it: As a result of a change in collection contract, new days for garbage, recycling and green bins will take effect for much of the city as of March 31, 2026.
In Capital Ward: half of Old Ottawa South (East of Bank Street) and all of Old Ottawa East will be switching to a Thursday collection, (pictured in green); the rest of the ward (The Glebe, Glebe Annex, Heron Park, Dow’s Lake, Riverside and half of Old Ottawa South) will have a Tuesday collection, (pictured in red).
You can check which day your address will receive garbage pick-up at: Ottawa.ca/CollectionCalendar.
