Recently, the Ontario Government passed Bill 66, also known as the “Restoring Ontario’s Competitiveness Act”. As a result, OSCA will be permitted to offer an unlicensed, recreation-based After-Four program for kindergarten students ages 4-6 years during the 2019-2020 school year.
For those new to OSCA, the After-Four program provides activities for children after school ends, from 3:30-6:00 pm. Our program includes supervised walkover from Hopewell Public School (or bus pick-up for those from other schools), a healthy snack, games, sports, crafts, trips to the park or library, and occasional workshops. JK-SK registration for the 2019-2020 school year will open at 8:00AM Monday, June 3rd, 2019 online and in-person.
We will not be reserving spaces for parents as we want to ensure our registration process is fair for everyone. Due to our lack of space at the Firehall (260 Sunnyside Ave.), we are only able to offer a limited number of spots in the program. We will have 16 spots in total and registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To register for the JK-SK program, a $235.00 non-refundable administrative fee is due upon registration. This fee reserves your space in the program for the entire school year. However, if OSCA is unable to run the program due to further provincial changes, parents will be refunded in full.
The monthly fee of $235.00 will be due when the school year begins and on the first of each month thereafter. The barcode to register for the administrative fee is A4JKSKAF20. Those who pay the administrative fee will be sent the barcode for September’s registration prior to the start of the school year.
