We would like to thank the City of Ottawa for all of their hard work last week. Our floors look fantastic! Thank you so much for installing a new floor in the Pottery Studio. Everything looks great!
Alright fabulous friends, we are short some serious ticket sales! Our Egos & Icons Dance Party, the "ultimate party of April 2015", is under threat of cancellation! We need to sell a whole lot of tickets by next Tuesday, April 7th, or we will have to postpone this amazing party until the fall.
Don't want to dress up? The ultimate EGO is yourself! Come as you are — just be prepared to tear up the dance floor alongside Prince, Bowie, Kurt, Lady Gaga (please, someone wear the meat costume) and of course, Justin Bieber.
Put away your dancing shoes and save your costumes for another time, the Egos & Icons Dance Party has unfortunately been cancelled due to low ticket sales. It seems as though this long and frigid winter has left everyone in hibernation mode. The good news is there will be a next time. Stay tuned!
If you were an eager dancer and already purchased your tickets, the Firehall will reimburse you for the full amount.
It can be easy to miss many of the invisible improvements that were made to the Old Firehall during maintenance, but a tireless effort has gone in to maintaining the balance between preserving a heritage building, and keeping our Firehall a safe and lively multipurpose space that is accessible to children, as well as to the wider community.
It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.” — Tolkien

Yes, that woman is me and 18 and half years ago I had what Dr. Phil describes as a Life Changing Moment. Many of you know this story, but for those who don’t……read on.
