Artist Helene Lacelle will be showing a variety of her art styles covering several years of creation—for example, her very unique 'Art Blocks', large gouache paintings and collages some recently completed specially for this exhibit. Lacelle's show opens 11 December 2012 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. at Carmen's Veranda, 1169 Bank Street, and all are welcome. Carmen Letourneau and her staff put out an incredible opening night with free gourmet nibblies and cash bar. Show runs from Dec. 11 to Jan. 31, 2013.

The Ottawa Police Services Board (OPSB) and Ottawa Police Service (OPS) are currently developing the 2013-2015 OPS Business Plan. The plan will outline the future direction of our police service. In order for us to move forward, we need to hear from you—the members of our community.
As part of our ongoing Partnership in Action 2012 initiatives, we will be hosting a community consultation session on our 2013-2015 Business Plan called: Let's Chat about Priorities: "A Plan Where Everyone Matters" from 6:15 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 4 December 2012 in the Canada Room of the RA Centre (2451 Riverside Drive).
Community Police officer Constable Khoa Hoang received the "Enforcement Professional Award" at Crime Provention Ottawa's annual awards Nov. 5. Constable Hoang serves the downtown areas of Centretown, Sandy Hill, Old Ottawa East, and Old Ottawa South. He was nominated three separate times for his work volunteering at 25 local organizations and mentoring youth.
Const. Hoang also publishes a monthy report for each region in their respective print newsletters: the Glebe Report, The Main Streeter, the Centretown paper and the OSCAR.
