The rink attendant is responsible for creating a positive atmosphere for all participants at the Windsor Park rink. Through monitoring the rinks while in operation, attending to any first-aid issues that may arise, clearing the ice surface, and enforcing the rules of the rink, the rink attendant creates an engaging and fulfilling experience for recreation and facility participants. We are looking for fun, well organized and skilled individuals who enjoy skating and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Our 2020 Summer Camp Guide is available online now. We’re excited for another summer at OSCA! Last year will be hard to top, but we’ve been planning even more fun adventures and activities for you in 2020.
OSCA's Planning and Zoning Committee has called on the City of Ottawa Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Planning Committees to be more cognizant of climate change and more clear about how its proposed policies would affect neighbourhoods in a submission to a joint meeting of the two bodies. There was little time given to review the new official plan and only five days allotted for public review and comment.
Osborne Street in Old Ottawa South has a lovely park that runs midway down Osborne to the banks of the Rideau River. It is a small park, too small really for a field house or recreational facility, but just the right size for neighbours to share a common green space.
A free New Year's celebration—Scottish style! The evening starts with dancing and other family activities. At 7:00 p.m., revelers celebrate midnight in Scotland with a huge balloon drop, followed by musical performances. End the night with Auld Lang Syne, then head outdoors for a fireworks display over the Great Lawn at midnight. Scottish food, beer, and whisky available for purchase at the Market Place.
