  • Weather appropriate clothing (such as rain boots and raincoat)

  • Running shoes/sport sandals

The Nitty Gritty:

Camp is outside, children should apply sunscreen at home and dress in layers as the weather can change throughout the day. It is important to send all the above listed items everyday so children can fully participate in activities. Our staff appreciate parents who label everything, it makes our job a little easier. We have large outdoor tents to provide shade and shelter from most weather conditions. In the case of extreme weather, we will go indoors until it has passed.

When Do We Move Indoors:

Our camps are designed to be outdoors, rain or shine. Extreme weather such as thunderstorms are the exception. If the weather is calling for storms please check your email and your mobile device for confirmation. When we move indoors the sign in and sign out location may change to our emergency shelter location.

All Camps will move indoors to the Firehall, with the exception of Bike camps, who will shelther in place in inclement weather. Please ensure your child is sent with 2 masks as they are required indoors at the Firehall. The decision to move indoors will be based on the weather forecast. This decision will be made by camp team and communicated no later than 8:15 AM.  Subsequently our pick-up time may be impacted by weather. Parents will be notified of any changes throughout the day. This decision will be communicated no later than 3:00PM.  Please ensure that your contact information is up to date to receive our messages! Each morning and afternoon we will update our website here

Safety Procedures

First Aid: Each camp group is equipped with PPE and first aid kits.  Our staff are certified in Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and AED  (automated external defibrillator).  As well staff have been trained how to administer first aid while adhering to Covid-19 protocols and donning PPE. (personal Protective Equipment)

Allergies: Please inform us of any allergies or sensitivities prior to the start of camp.  A Medical Administration form must be filled out if your child requires any medication.  Please note that we have a two epipen policy so if your child uses an epipen, we need to have an extra on hand at all times.

What Not to Send:

Please do not bring any valuables that may get damaged or lost.  These may include electronic devices (e.g., video games, cell phones, cameras).
