Social Connections

How our ‘social connections’ have changed. It seems like another world these days, as we all practice staying at home and physical distancing.    One possible escape is through the internet, which offers many modes of information and connectivity.  If you are not familiar with that universe and would like some help learning about it, you could contact:

If you would like to learn more about using the internet, they are prepared to help learners either online or over the phone.

Another resource worth tapping is the Council on Aging.  They have updates on what is available online.

We cannot go through the library doors these days, but they have many programs and resources available on line.  Aging Well Together at the Ottawa Public Library is an educational series that promotes healthy aging. Adults 55 years of age and older and their caregivers can access information on a variety of healthy living topics through group sessions and via the online portal.
