The City of Ottawa Planning, Real Estate, and Economic Development Department offers the Planning Primer sessions (free of charge) to help residents become more aware of, and more involved in, the land-use planning process. First up, in Q1 (Jan-March 2023) – Core Primer: the core course describes the legislative and policy basis under which land-use planning decisions are made, the way policy documents are amended and how to make a development application.

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, the City of Ottawa, in collaboration with the Central Canada Exhibition Association, will host a community festival at Lansdowne Park to celebrate 30 years since Ottawa City Council resolved to restore the Aberdeen Pavilion.
