Family Skate Night
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and there’s no better way to spend it than with the people you love. At 6pm on Tuesday 14th February, 2023 we’ll be hosting “Family Skate Night” at Windsor Park, 1 Windsor Avenue. This will be a great chance to warm up from the inside and have a full filled evening with loves ones!
Outdoor Rink Skate Sharpener Initiative
The Old Ottawa South community and The Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey Association (OCMHA) have been struggling to find a local, convenient and reasonably priced skate sharpening establishment over the last few years. The pandemic has exacerbated this as many of the local shops and smaller arena run shops have closed. From discussions with community members, an idea was born to launch a community owned and operated skate sharpening initiative, run by volunteers.
Secret Guardians of Windsor Park
Day and night, 365 days a year, Windsor Park is cared for by incessant secret guardians. The Windsor Park dog walkers seem innocent enough, with their cute pooches and their light banter, but at the heart of every dog walker is a community park guardian.
Final Design of a New Fieldhouse for Windsor Park
